Major shake-up at APC’s national convention as 3 top officers exit and Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda takes the helm.
The All Progressives Congress (APC) has unveiled its new National Working Committee (NWC) after the national convention in Abuja. Three former members — Deputy National Chairman (South) Emma Eneukwu, Deputy National Organising Secretary Nze Duru, and National Financial Secretary Bashir Gumel — were dropped.
Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda (Plateau) was elected National Chairman, with 21 others, including key deputies and vice-chairmen from across the country, forming the new team to steer the party for the next four years. The elections were affirmed by 8,453 delegates from all 36 states and the FCT.
The convention also inaugurated deputy national officers, six national ex-officio members, and zonal officers elected earlier this month.
