Fresh postings across the police force—newly promoted AIGs and CPs get strategic roles to boost security and efficiency.
The Inspector-General of Police, Olatunji Disu, has ordered the immediate deployment of newly promoted senior officers across key commands and departments nationwide.
According to the Nigeria Police Force, the move targets better operational efficiency, stronger leadership, and improved service delivery.
Several Assistant Inspectors-General (AIGs) have been assigned to critical units like Operations, Armament, Training, Legal Services, and Community Policing, while others head zonal commands across the country.
At the same time, dozens of Commissioners of Police (CPs) have been posted to states, special units, and strategic departments, including Lagos, FCT, Oyo, Delta, Ogun, and Zamfara.
The police leadership says the reshuffle is part of ongoing reforms to strengthen internal capacity and respond more effectively to security challenges.
The I-G has also charged the officers to bring their experience to bear and uphold professionalism, discipline, and integrity in their new roles.
