KANO PILLARS STUN ENYIMBA WITH 2-0 HOME WIN

Early goals and solid defending powered Kano Pillars past Enyimba in a crucial NPFL clash.

Kano Pillars delivered a strong performance on home soil, beating Enyimba FC 2-0 in a Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) match in Kano.

Chidozie Okorie set the tone early with an 11th-minute opener, before veteran forward Ahmed Musa doubled the lead just before halftime.

Played at the Sani Abacha Stadium, the match saw both sides create chances, but Pillars were more clinical and composed in front of goal.

Head coach Muhammad Babaganaru praised his team’s teamwork and determination, noting that the win—and clean sheet—could be key in lifting the club out of the relegation zone.

On the other side, Enyimba coach Emmanuel Deutsch admitted his team fell short, citing costly mistakes and poor execution, but remained hopeful of a turnaround.

With confidence boosted, Kano Pillars now look to build momentum as the NPFL season heats up.
