RAMADAN LESSONS MUST CONTINUE: GROUP URGES LEADERS TO PRIORITISE WELFARE

A political group says Eid shouldn’t end the spirit of sacrifice—leaders must now turn compassion into real action.

The Seyi Makinde Disciples has called on leaders and citizens to sustain the values of Ramadan by prioritising the welfare of tPosthe less privileged.

Speaking in an Eid-el-Fitr message, the group’s convener, Laja Adeoye, described Ramadan as more than fasting—calling it a period of discipline, empathy, and moral renewal.

He urged leaders to translate those values into governance, stressing that sacrifice and service should not end with the holy month.

According to him, true leadership means uplifting vulnerable citizens and promoting inclusive development.

Adeoye also encouraged Nigerians to carry forward the spirit of compassion, generosity, and unity beyond Eid, noting that such values are key to building a stronger society.

He prayed that the lessons of Ramadan would inspire continued kindness, social responsibility, and national cohesion.
