Nigeria’s Works Minister says Eid is more than celebration—it’s a moment to unite and refocus on building a better country.
The Minister of Works, David Umahi, has urged Nigerians to embrace unity and recommit to national development as Muslims mark Eid-el-Fitr.
In his goodwill message, Umahi described the season as a time for reflection, gratitude, and renewed dedication to values like sacrifice, discipline, compassion, and obedience to God.
He congratulated Muslim faithful on completing Ramadan and called on citizens to extend the lessons of the holy month—peace, kindness, and tolerance—into everyday life.
Umahi stressed the need for mutual respect and collective effort in driving Nigeria’s progress, especially by supporting the less privileged and promoting social harmony.
He also encouraged Nigerians to use the festive period to pray for peace, stability, and sustainable development across the country.
Reaffirming his ministry’s role, the minister pledged continued delivery of infrastructure projects aimed at boosting economic growth and improving quality of life.
