As Sallah celebrations peak, AMAC Chairman is calling on residents to keep the spirit of Ramadan alive—and channel it into Abuja’s growth.
The Chairman of Abuja Municipal Area Council, Christopher Maikalangu, has urged residents to sustain the values of discipline, sacrifice, and piety beyond Ramadan for the continued development of the FCT.
In his Eid-el-Fitr message, Maikalangu congratulated Muslims in AMAC and across Nigeria, stressing that real progress in the Federal Capital Territory depends on both spiritual commitment and active citizen support.
He also gave a nod to the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, describing him as a mentor whose leadership has driven key infrastructure gains and supported the council’s recent re-election success.
Maikalangu praised President Bola Tinubu for appointing Wike, noting that the Renewed Hope Agenda is already visible through ongoing projects across Abuja.
Looking ahead, he pledged that his second term will prioritise inclusive governance, especially in rural communities, while aligning with the minister’s development vision.
He ended with a call for continued prayers for peace, progress, and prosperity in AMAC and Nigeria at large.
