EID-EL-FITR: ADAMAWA APC ELDERS PREACH UNITY, PEACEFUL COEXISTENCE

As Muslims celebrate Eid-el-Fitr, APC elders in Adamawa are calling for unity, tolerance, and peaceful political engagement across the state.

The Adamawa Progressives Elders Council, led by Buba Marwa, has urged residents of Adamawa State to embrace peace, unity, and coexistence as they mark Eid-el-Fitr.

In a statement issued in Yola, the group congratulated the Muslim community and encouraged citizens to sustain the values of piety, charity, and discipline learnt during Ramadan.

“We must promote unity, fraternity, and a shared vision of prosperity for Adamawa,” the council said, stressing the need for peaceful living among all residents.

The group also commended key stakeholders, including Nuhu Ribadu, Governor Ahmadu Fintiri, and APC chieftain Mustapha Salihu, for their contributions to development in the state and beyond.

Looking ahead, the elders advised members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to approach upcoming political activities with maturity and understanding, in line with the timetable of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

They stressed that peaceful conduct and unity within the party would ensure hitch-free processes and strengthen democracy in the state.

The council reiterated that its core mission remains fostering peace, unity, and mutual understanding—not just within the party, but across all communities in Adamawa.
