TINUBU’S UK TRIP: APC TOUTS BIG ECONOMIC WINS, GLOBAL DEALS

As President Bola Tinubu heads to the UK, the Lagos APC says the visit is more than a trip—it’s a strategic push to unlock investments and strengthen Nigeria’s global standing.

In a statement, the Lagos chapter of the All Progressives Congress, through spokesman Seye Oladejo, described the visit as a key step in advancing economic diplomacy and deepening ties with the United Kingdom.

According to the party, the trip will open doors for high-level talks with government officials, investors, and development partners—focusing on critical sectors like infrastructure, energy transition, and technology transfer.

Beyond that, discussions are expected to touch on education, security collaboration, and expanding global opportunities for Nigerian businesses. The APC also hinted at benefits for trade and port development, noting that such engagements could improve efficiency and position Nigeria as a stronger maritime hub in West Africa.

Oladejo stressed that in today’s global economy, partnerships like the one with the UK are essential for attracting foreign investment, boosting trade, and driving long-term development.

He pointed to Tinubu’s record as former Lagos governor as proof of his ability to turn international partnerships into real economic gains, urging Nigerians to see the visit as part of a broader nation-building effort.

With expectations high, the APC says the outcome of the trip could translate into fresh investments, stronger bilateral ties, and more jobs—further advancing the administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
