Team Nigeria Wrestling is making waves internationally! Coach Akuh Purity says the squad is ready to keep the medals coming, building on their four-gold haul at the 2026 NAIA Women’s Wrestling National Championships in the U.S.
The victories earned the wrestlers NAIA All-American honors and spotlighted Nigeria’s rising influence in global wrestling. Akuh credited the success to NWF President Adewale Adeniyi for his unwavering support and investment in talent development.
With eyes on the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles, the team is focused, determined, and poised to make Nigeria proud.
