SAN CALLS FOR UNITED ACTION AGAINST SOCIAL VICES

A Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Yusuf Olaolu Ali, has urged Nigerians to join forces in tackling rising social vices, especially among youths.

Speaking at a Ramadan lecture in Ilorin organised by the Knowledge Is Light Islamic Foundation, Ali stressed the need for impactful programmes that can steer young people away from crime and negative influences. He called on groups and organisations to focus on real societal issues and sustain such efforts beyond Ramadan.

He also challenged KILIF to go beyond routine activities by addressing topics that promote discipline, restore values, and attract broader community participation, including elders who can offer guidance.

In a related lecture, retired Grand Kadi Salihu Olohuntoyin Muhammad advised Muslims to avoid political chants during Eid celebrations and instead focus on spiritual acts like praising Allah and observing proper religious practices.

The event ended with appreciation from KILIF President Oba Amosa, who thanked members and donors for supporting the initiative.
