NRC BOOSTS TRAIN SERVICES AHEAD OF EID-EL-FITR

Travel plans just got easier! The Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC) is ramping up train services across key routes to handle the festive rush during Eid-el-Fitr.

According to Callistus Unyimadu, Lagos–Ibadan commuters will enjoy three special trips on Thursday, while Abuja–Kaduna will run multiple trips from March 20–23 to ease passenger flow.

In partnership with the Osun State Government, the NRC will also operate the Imole Special Train from Lagos to Osogbo, offering free rides to Osun indigenes. Meanwhile, Warri–Itakpe and Port Harcourt–Aba services will continue on their regular schedules, with Thursday reserved for maintenance on WITS.

Unyimadu assured passengers of safe, reliable, and efficient operations, urging travelers to plan ahead and observe ticketing and security rules.
