KOGI BREAKS GROUND ON INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT, ODODO LAUDS TINUBU

Kogi is set for takeoff! Governor Ahmed Ododo has praised President Bola Tinubu for approving a world-class international airport in the state, marking a historic milestone for Nigeria’s aviation sector.

The project, officially handed over on Wednesday in Lokoja, will feature an 18.6-kilometre runway, cargo facilities, and capacity for 250,000 passengers annually on 4,000 hectares of land. China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation (CCECC) and Gamji Nigeria Ltd. will execute the project, ensuring high-quality standards and timely delivery.

Ododo highlighted Kogi’s strategic location as Nigeria’s natural gateway, linking 10 major commercial cities and helping decongest Abuja’s Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport. He described the airport as a transformative legacy project that will boost trade, tourism, and economic growth.
