Fresh faces, fresh responsibilities—Adamawa Governor Ahmadu Fintiri has sworn in three new commissioners and an electoral commission member, urging them to deliver with integrity and accountability.
At the ceremony in Yola’s newly inaugurated Council Chambers, the governor officially brought on board Sali Idris (Livestock), Muhammed Suleiman (Works), and Chubado Mohammed (Energy), alongside Iliya Gaji as a member of the State Independent Electoral Commission.
Fintiri made it clear: their appointments weren’t by chance. He said they earned the roles through merit, proven integrity, and commitment to service—and now must bring fresh ideas, innovation, and teamwork into governance.
He also stressed alignment with his administration’s vision of inclusive governance and sustainable development, warning that performance and responsibility would be key expectations.
For Gaji, the task is equally critical—ensuring credible and transparent local government elections in collaboration with the electoral commission.
Responding on behalf of the appointees, Chubado Mohammed expressed gratitude and pledged loyalty to the administration’s agenda.
The oath of office was administered by Attorney-General Afaimu Jingi, marking the formal start of duties for the new officials.
