EID SECURITY BOOST: NSCDC DEPLOYS 1,750 PERSONNEL ACROSS OSUN

Ahead of Eid-el-Fitr celebrations, the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps in Osun has rolled out a massive security plan—deploying 1,750 personnel to keep residents safe.

According to spokesperson Kehinde Adeleke, the operation—directed by State Commandant Igbalawole Sotiyo—covers markets, recreation centres, and other key public spaces to prevent any security breach during the festive period.

Sotiyo stressed vigilance and professionalism, urging officers to stay alert while engaging the public respectfully. He also called on parents, community leaders, and religious groups to caution youths against actions that could disrupt peace.

Residents have been advised to remain calm, stay vigilant, and report suspicious activities as authorities assure a safe and peaceful Eid celebration across the state.
