Don’t be alarmed if you hear gunfire—it’s just a military exercise.
The Nigerian Army, through its 1 Division Headquarters, has announced a shooting exercise in Kaduna scheduled for March 23–27 at the Nigerian Air Force Base range in Mando.
According to spokesman Ajemusu Jingina, the drill is aimed at sharpening soldiers’ marksmanship and testing weapon readiness. Residents in and around the area have been advised not to panic at the sound of gunshots or troop movements during the period.
The army also warned the public to stay clear of the shooting range for safety, while thanking residents for their continued cooperation.
