YOBE PROMOTES 1,700 TEACHERS TO BOOST EDUCATION SECTOR

State rewards dedication, strengthens learning outcomes in public schools

The Yobe Teachers’ Service Board (TSB) has promoted 1,700 teachers across various cadres to reward diligence and enhance service delivery in the state’s education sector.

Announcing the move on Tuesday in Damaturu, TSB Chairman Alhaji Yakubu Dokshi said the exercise recognises excellence and aims to improve teaching standards and student performance.

“Elevating our teachers directly enhances learning outcomes and school performance,” he said, praising Gov. Mai Mala Buni for his commitment to education development.

Board Secretary Mohammed ibn Musa and Director of Personnel Management Umar Haruna also commended the initiative, urging promoted staff to maintain professionalism, punctuality, and contribute meaningfully to community development through quality teaching.

The promotions are expected to boost teacher morale, encourage innovation, and reinforce commitment to excellence, aligning with government efforts to transform Yobe’s education sector.
