Top police boss insists on fairness as recruitment screening continues in Lagos.
The Deputy Inspector-General of Police, Taiwo Lakanu, has visited the Lagos State Police Command to monitor the ongoing recruitment process and ensure transparency.
Lakanu, who also represents the South-West in the Police Service Commission, was received in Ikeja by the Commissioner of Police, Olohundare Jimoh.
According to police spokesperson Abimbola Adebisi, the visit was part of a supervisory exercise to oversee the screening and ensure it meets required standards.
Joined by senior officers—including Omolara Oloruntola—the DIG stressed the need for discipline, integrity, and professionalism throughout the process.
“Fairness and transparency must be upheld,” he said, noting that credibility is key to building public trust.
He also commended the command for its efforts in maintaining security across Lagos, while CP Jimoh reaffirmed commitment to a credible and hitch-free recruitment exercise.
