IGP STORMS MAIDUGURI AFTER BLASTS, PROMISES TO CRUSH ATTACK NETWORKS

Top cop visits victims, inspects bombing sites, and orders tighter security across the city.

The Inspector-General of Police, Olatunji Disu, has visited Maiduguri following recent IED explosions, assuring residents that stronger security measures are already in motion.

During the visit, Disu met victims receiving treatment at the University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital and also inspected the Monday Market bombing site to assess the situation firsthand.

He proceeded to the Borno State Government House and the State Police Command Headquarters, where he reviewed ongoing operations and pushed for better coordination among security agencies.

The IGP expressed condolences to victims and their families, while vowing that the Nigeria Police Force will hunt down those behind the attacks and dismantle their networks.

According to him, security in Maiduguri has now been significantly tightened, with increased deployments, enhanced surveillance, and joint operations aimed at preventing further threats.
