WIKE COMMENDS FCDA BOSS FOR TIGHT SUPERVISION OF FCT PROJECTS

FCT Minister Nyesom Wike says strict supervision by the FCDA is speeding up major infrastructure projects across Abuja ahead of planned commissioning.

The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has praised the acting Executive Secretary of the Federal Capital Development Authority (FCDA), Richard Dauda, for closely supervising ongoing infrastructure projects across Abuja.

Wike gave the commendation during a routine inspection tour of several key projects in the Federal Capital Territory.

Among the projects inspected were the Abuja Division of the Court of Appeal Complex, 40 housing units for judges in Katampe, the CN2 Ring Road through Gishairi, and the dualisation of the Outer Southern Expressway from Ring Road I to Ring Road II along the Apo–Wassa corridor.

The minister said the effective oversight by the FCDA had significantly improved the pace and quality of work by contractors handling the projects.

He expressed satisfaction with the progress made so far, noting that the projects are on track for completion.

Wike added that the facilities are expected to be commissioned by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu during his third anniversary in office.

“I’m very impressed with what is on the ground so far,” Wike said, adding that the level of supervision by the FCDA had been crucial to the progress recorded.
