UN CONDEMNS IRAN’S GULF ATTACKS IN OVERWHELMING VOTE

The UN Security Council on Wednesday adopted a resolution condemning Iran’s strikes on GCC states and Jordan. The vote passed 13-0, with Russia and China abstaining.

Presented by Bahrain and co-sponsored by 135 nations, the resolution strongly denounces attacks on civilian infrastructure, labeling them a breach of international law and a serious threat to global peace.

Bahrain’s UN envoy Jamal Fares Alrowaiei hailed the vote as a clear sign of international unity and support for territorial integrity and sovereignty in the Gulf region.
