IRANIAN PRESIDENT SETS TERMS FOR WAR END, CALLS FOR GUARANTEES AND REPARATIONS

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian on Wednesday outlined conditions to halt ongoing conflict, demanding international guarantees to ensure a permanent end to all attacks.

Writing on X, Pezeshkian also called for reparations and recognition of Iran’s “legitimate rights,” which analysts suggest may relate to the Mojtaba Khamenei appointment and the need for global acknowledgment of the new leadership.

The comments follow Donald Trump’s earlier statement expressing disapproval of Khamenei’s appointment, warning the new leader “should expect significant difficulties” and that he “cannot live in peace.”

The statements signal rising tensions as international actors weigh Iran’s demands against ongoing regional conflicts.
