Afrobeats queen Tiwa Savage has officially unveiled the Tiwa Savage Music Foundation, selecting 100 young talents for specialised training to strengthen Nigeria’s creative industry.
Launched Monday at The Delborough, Lagos, the event drew celebrities and dignitaries including Don Jazzy, Mo Abudu, Johnny Drille, Cobhams Asuquo, Gov. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, and Senators Florence Ita-Giwa and Daisy Danjuma.
Savage said the foundation aims to bridge education and infrastructure gaps in the music industry, offering programs in film scoring, music publishing, music therapy, production, and sound engineering. Participants will receive global exposure and professional training in partnership with Berklee College of Music.
“This opportunity is already paid for—use it wisely because opportunity favours the prepared,” she told the selected talents.
Gov. Sanwo-Olu praised the initiative, while Johnny Drille and Mo Abudu highlighted its potential to elevate professionalism and nurture the next generation of Nigerian music stars.
The foundation seeks to mentor, educate, and give international exposure to young creatives, ensuring Nigeria’s music talent thrives locally and globally.
