Anambra State Governor Chukwuma Soludo on Monday toured several schools in Isuofia, Aguata Local Government Area, to reinforce the return of normal academic activities on Mondays after years of sit-at-home disruptions.
During the visit, the governor interacted with students and teachers, expressing satisfaction at seeing classrooms active on a day that had long been affected by forced closures. He described the development as a strong sign that normalcy and productivity are gradually returning across the state.
Soludo visited schools including Community School, Unique Nursery and Primary School, Unique Secondary School, Central School Primary School, Holy Child Secondary School, Community Secondary School, Amaorji Primary School, Ikemee Primary School, and Model Primary School.
He encouraged students to remain focused on hard work, discipline and integrity, stressing that proper education would prepare them to compete globally.
The governor also highlighted the state’s partnership with mission authorities in managing returned schools, explaining that while government provides subsidies and supports teachers, mission bodies help maintain infrastructure and conducive learning environments.
Soludo assured residents that adequate security measures were in place and urged school administrators to keep proper attendance records. He also commended teachers for their dedication despite past disruptions.
According to him, restoring full productivity on Mondays sends a positive signal to investors that Anambra is reclaiming its economic and social life and remains open for business.
