A daring operation by Joint Task Force Operation Whirl Stroke has foiled a kidnap attempt in Gborgbor Village, Wukari LGA, Taraba, rescuing two Unity Bank staff.
Acting Media Officer Lt Ahmad Zubairu said troops acted on credible intelligence, extending their search across surrounding settlements. The kidnappers abandoned the victims, Marwan Abubakar (40) and Leng’en Cakop (37), and fled, leaving behind a motorcycle used in the crime.
Force Commander Maj Gen Moses Gara praised the troops’ swift, professional response, emphasizing the power of intelligence-led operations in protecting lives and property. Residents are urged to support security agencies with timely information to help curb criminal activities.
