MISSILES OVER DOHA: QATAR CONFIRMS ATTACK AMID REGIONAL FIRESTORM

Explosions rock the skies as tensions between the U.S., Israel and Iran spill deeper into the Gulf.

Qatar’s Defence Ministry says the country was hit by a missile attack Thursday, with air defence systems activated to intercept incoming threats.

In an official statement, authorities urged citizens, residents and visitors to stay calm, follow security directives and avoid spreading rumors.

The Doha-based broadcaster Al Jazeera reported loud explosions heard across the capital’s skies. There were no immediate reports of casualties.

The latest development comes amid escalating hostilities following a large-scale U.S.–Israeli offensive on Iran that began Saturday.

According to reports, at least 926 people have been killed, including Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and several top military officials.

Iran has since launched retaliatory drone and missile strikes targeting Israel and Gulf nations hosting U.S. military assets — widening fears of a broader regional conflict.

The situation remains fluid, with the Gulf on edge.
