The Commissioner of Police in Kwara State, CP Adekimi Ojo, has praised the dedication, courage, and professionalism of women officers as the world celebrates International Women’s Day 2026.
In a goodwill message, the police chief congratulated female officers in the state command, as well as women and girls across society, noting that the day highlights the need to protect women’s rights, dignity, and opportunities.
Ojo said the 2026 theme, “Rights, Justice, Action: For All Women and Girls,” reinforces the importance of promoting justice and equal opportunities for women. He also acknowledged the vital role women play in strengthening policing, improving community safety, and shaping families and communities.
The commissioner reaffirmed the command’s commitment to protecting women and girls and ensuring justice in cases of gender-based violence and abuse.
