AIR CHIEF SALUTES FEMALE PERSONNEL ON INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY

The Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Sunday Aneke, has praised the dedication, courage, and professionalism of female officers and airwomen in the Nigerian Air Force as the world marks International Women’s Day 2026.

In a message commemorating the day, Aneke highlighted the vital roles women play across flying, engineering, medical, administrative, and combat support operations, noting that their contributions continue to strengthen the Air Force’s operational effectiveness nationwide.

Reflecting on this year’s theme, “Give to Gain: Generosity, Collaboration and Collective Uplift,” the Air Chief stressed the importance of mentorship, opportunity, and collaboration in advancing gender equality within the military.

He reaffirmed the Nigerian Air Force’s commitment to expanding leadership opportunities and strengthening support systems for female personnel, adding that investing in women will help build a more capable and mission-ready force.
