UK-BASED NIGERIANS SET TO ROLL OUT RED CARPET FOR TINUBU

Nigerians in the UK are gearing up for a grand welcome as President Bola Tinubu prepares for a historic state visit.

The visit, scheduled for March 18–19, comes at the invitation of King Charles III and Queen Camilla. Bola Tinubu will be accompanied by First Lady Oluremi Tinubu.

Timileyin Ayenuro, Convener of Nigerian Youth in the UK, announced plans for a warm reception, urging Nigerians across Britain to turn out in large numbers. He reassured the diaspora community of the administration’s commitment to national development, saying reforms — especially in security — are already yielding results.

Also speaking, Ondo Collectives UK Coordinator Emmanuel Akeredolu praised improvements in Nigeria’s airport experience, particularly the introduction of the e-gate system. He commended Interior Minister Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo and Aviation Minister Festus Keyamo for reforms in their sectors.

Representing Nigerian women in the UK, Mrs. Folasade Uangbaoje applauded the Nigerian High Commission in the United Kingdom for improving access to consular services. She also praised the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, led by Abike Dabiri-Erewa, for responding swiftly to diaspora concerns.

The message from the meeting was clear: Nigerians in the UK are ready to show up — and show support — as the president arrives for his state visit.
