U.S. CLARIFIES: IRAN STRIKES AIM AT NUKES, NOT REGIME CHANGE

The U.S. is making it clear: the focus of President Trump’s recent actions in Iran isn’t regime change—it’s stopping Iran from getting a nuclear weapon.

Vice President JD Vance told Fox News that while a “friendly” government in Tehran would be welcome, the real goal is nuclear non-proliferation. “Whatever happens with the regime is incidental,” he said, stressing the priority is Iran can’t build the bomb.

Trump also addressed Iranians directly after the Israeli-U.S. strikes, urging citizens to “take over your government” once operations conclude. Secretary of State Marco Rubio echoed the message, noting that leadership change is secondary to ensuring Iran doesn’t have drones or ballistic missiles.
