Gov. Caleb Mutfwang has been honoured as Silverbird Governor of the Year 2025, hailed for his peace-building efforts and policies that are transforming Plateau State into a hub for investment and development.
Former Plateau governor and Senator, Sen. Simon Lalong, described the award as a “well-deserved recognition” of Mutfwang’s measurable strides in restoring peace and fostering growth. “This award reflects the positive realities we are seeing across our state,” Lalong said.
Mutfwang dedicated the award to Plateau’s peace-loving residents, acknowledging political rivals and predecessors for embracing “a new spirit of unity and love.” He emphasised that lasting peace and prosperity depend on leaders rising above divisions and providing purposeful direction.
The award recognised Mutfwang’s bold initiatives, including using technology to combat insecurity, driving inclusive development, and creating a more investor-friendly environment. He thanked the Silverbird Group for highlighting Plateau’s progress and pledged continued partnership for media-driven development initiatives.
The event at Eko Hotels & Suites, Lagos, drew ministers, legislators, traditional and religious leaders, and other dignitaries.
