BARAU FC STUN PLATEAU UNITED WITH LATE COMEBACK WIN

What a turnaround at the Sani Abacha Stadium! Barau FC came from behind to defeat Plateau United 2-1 in their Matchday 28 clash of the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL).

Plateau United struck early, with Vincent Temitope scoring in just the 4th minute. But the hosts responded in the 38th minute when Henry Ezeonye tapped in after a free kick from Sunday Antony hit the woodwork — marking Ezeonye’s first NPFL goal for the Maliya Boys this season.

The big moment came in the second half as substitute Stanley Oganbor, returning from injury, fired home the winner to seal all three points. His impact earned him the SWAN Man of the Match award.

The victory lifts Barau FC to 10th on the table with 37 points from 28 matches. Coach Eugene Agagbe praised his team’s resilience and now looks ahead to a heated Kano derby against Kano Pillars.

Plateau United coach Gbenga Ogunbote, meanwhile, vowed to bounce back in their next fixture against Niger Tornadoes.
