Gulf nations and the U.S. are sounding the alarm over Iran’s latest missile and drone strikes, calling them “indiscriminate and reckless.”
In a joint statement Sunday night, Bahrain, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and the U.S. slammed Tehran for targeting sovereign territories, endangering civilians, and damaging infrastructure.
“The Islamic Republic’s actions represent a dangerous escalation that violates the sovereignty of multiple states and threatens regional stability,” the statement said. “We stand united in defense of our citizens, sovereignty, and territory, and reaffirm our right to self-defense.”
The countries also praised existing air and missile defense cooperation, noting it has prevented even greater casualties and destruction.
