RUSSIAN STRIKES KILL FOUR IN SOUTHERN UKRAINE AS WAR HITS FOUR-YEAR MARK

Deadly airstrikes on a Ukrainian village have left four people dead and a child injured, underscoring the human toll as the Russia-Ukraine war enters its fourth year.

Authorities in Ukraine say Russian air attacks on a village in the southern Zaporizhzhya region killed four people and injured a child after residential buildings were hit and destroyed.

Ukraine’s civil protection service said the strikes occurred Tuesday evening, flattening one home and damaging another, leaving families devastated.

The attack came on the fourth anniversary of Russia’s full-scale invasion, which began on Feb. 24, 2022. Since then, Ukraine has continued to defend its territory with strong backing from Western allies.

The latest strikes highlight the ongoing danger to civilians as the war drags on with no clear end in sight.
