LASTMA RESCUES MOTHER, SON AS LEXUS SUV FLIPS THREE TIMES IN LAGOS

Quick intervention by traffic officials prevented tragedy after a terrifying crash along the busy LASU–Isheri Expressway.

Operatives of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) have rescued a mother and her son after their Lexus SUV overturned multiple times near the NYSC Bus Stop on the LASU–Isheri Expressway.

According to LASTMA General Manager, Olalekan Bakare-Oki, the vehicle suddenly lost stability while travelling from Isheri toward Igando, flipping three times before coming to a stop in the middle of heavy traffic.

LASTMA officials swiftly arrived at the scene and safely pulled the victims from the wreckage. Both sustained bruises and mild trauma but narrowly escaped what could have been a fatal accident.

Police officers from the Igando Division secured the area and managed the crowd, while emergency responders helped evacuate the damaged vehicle. The victims were later taken away by family members for medical care.

Authorities have launched an investigation, while LASTMA urged motorists to obey speed limits and regularly check vehicle safety systems, especially brakes.
