From cars to tractors, Innoson Group is scaling up, creating thousands of jobs and boosting local industry.
Nnewi, Anambra – Innoson Group, led by Chief Innocent Chukwuma, currently employs 8,000 staff across Nigeria and plans to hire an additional 2,000 for its new factory, the company announced Saturday.
Speaking during a tour with the Bank of Industry, Chukwuma said women play key roles in sensitive factory sections due to their precision, discipline, and rule-following.
“Our female staff excel in areas requiring accuracy and strict adherence to procedures,” he noted.
Chukwuma also revealed plans for a tractor plant at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, aimed at increasing tractor availability for farmers and boosting agricultural productivity nationwide.
He credited the company’s growth to over two decades of support from the Bank of Industry, which has assisted with equipment acquisition. Mallam Omar Shekarau, Executive Director at the bank, praised Innoson’s journey from humble beginnings to a brand Nigerians are proud of and pledged continued support.
“Patronising Innoson products strengthens local industry and grows the economy,” Shekarau said.
