TINUBU’S MEDIA AIDE, NAN MD JOIN ARCON AS NEW MEMBERS

Top media and government communication officials, including President Tinubu’s aide and NAN’s MD, have officially joined Nigeria’s advertising regulatory body.

President Bola Tinubu’s media aide, Tunde Rahman, and Managing Director of the News Agency of Nigeria, Malam Ali Mohammed Ali, have been inducted as associate members of the Advertising Regulatory Council of Nigeria (ARCON).

Other inductees include Director-General of the National Broadcasting Commission, Charles Ebuebu, and Director-General of the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria, Mohammed Bulama, alongside senior public relations officials in the Ministry of Information.

ARCON Director-General, Dr. Olalekan Fadolapo, urged the new members to uphold professionalism and serve as strong ambassadors of the advertising industry, noting that their induction legally qualifies them to practice advertising.

Speaking after the ceremony in Abuja, Ali described the induction as a major milestone in his media career, saying it strengthens his legal and professional standing in advertising practice.

ARCON, established in 2022, regulates advertising in Nigeria, protects consumer interests, promotes local content, and ensures global best practices in the industry.
