Residents of Saare in Ifelodun LGA, Kwara State, were thrown into panic on Sunday evening when armed bandits stormed the community, firing shots into the air. Villagers ran for cover as gunfire echoed through the streets.
A coordinated response by local vigilantes and security operatives led to a fierce one-hour gun duel, ultimately forcing the attackers to retreat without causing fatalities or abductions.
