Kebbi State workers will close earlier during Ramadan, as the government moves to ease the burden of fasting.
The Kebbi State Government has reduced official working hours for civil servants by two hours to support workers observing Ramadan.
Governor Nasir Idris approved the adjustment following the commencement of fasting as declared by the Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs.
Under the new schedule, civil servants will work from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Fridays.
The state government said the move is aimed at helping workers balance their duties with the spiritual demands of Ramadan. Normal working hours will resume after the fasting period ends.
