RAMADAN ALERT: KANO POLICE URGE RESIDENTS TO STAY VIGILANT

As Ramadan begins, Kano Police are calling on residents to stay alert, avoid risky behavior, and help keep the fasting period peaceful.

The Nigeria Police Force in Kano State has urged residents to remain security-conscious throughout the Ramadan period and beyond.

In a message to Muslims marking the holy month, Police spokesperson, CSP Abdullahi Kiyawa, said the command has rolled out measures to ensure safety but stressed that public vigilance is key.

According to him, Commissioner of Police, Ibrahim Adamu Bakori, advised worshippers to avoid carrying unnecessary items to Tarawih prayers and remain alert to suspicious movements.

The police also warned against thuggery and other criminal activities, urging residents to cooperate with security agencies by reporting suspicious behavior through emergency lines and official social media channels.

The command wished Muslims a peaceful and successful Ramadan, while thanking residents for their continued support in maintaining security.
