NGF urges swift action as communities reel from coordinated assaults.
The Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF) has condemned the recent terrorist attacks in Niger and Kwara States, calling them tragic assaults on innocent citizens and a threat to national peace. The attacks in Tunga-Makeri, Konkoso, Pissa (Niger) and Woro (Kwara) reportedly left several dead and others abducted.
In a statement, NGF Chairman and Kwara Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, extended condolences to victims’ families and urged prayers for the safe return of those still missing.
The Forum praised security forces for their sacrifices but called for intensified operations to decisively confront the terrorists and restore safety. Governors also emphasized collaboration between federal, state, and local authorities to curb terrorism and rebuild public confidence.
