Afghan security forces have intensified their anti-drug crackdown, arresting over 120 suspects and intercepting tens of thousands of stimulant pills in major operations.
Authorities in Afghanistan have arrested 123 suspected drug traffickers and seized 50,000 stimulant tablets in a sweeping anti-narcotics operation.
According to the Afghanistan Ministry of Interior Affairs, the large cache of stimulant pills was discovered in Jalalabad, capital of Nangarhar province, following a tip-off. Two suspects were arrested in connection with the seizure.
In a separate week-long crackdown across Kabul, police detained 123 individuals accused of drug trafficking and distribution.
Security operatives also recovered more than 2,000 intoxicating tablets, 15 kilograms of hashish, and additional quantities of opium and methamphetamine.
Officials said the operations are part of ongoing efforts to dismantle drug smuggling networks and curb illegal drug activities across the country.
