KWARA BANDITS DEMAND ₦100M RANSOM AFTER FOREST GUARD KILLED

Tension grips Oba-Isin, Kwara State, after armed bandits killed local forest guard Raheem “Baba Kafaya” Ogunrinde during a gun duel Wednesday night and abducted his wife, Funke Ogunrinde, demanding a ₦100 million ransom for her release.

Residents are fleeing the town in fear, while security operatives have been deployed to prevent further attacks. A family source confirmed frantic efforts are underway to meet the ransom and pleaded for the kidnappers to reconsider.

The community is also preparing for the burial of the slain forest guard, highlighting rural insecurity and the growing threat of armed groups in Kwara State.
