ANAMBRA POLICE ARREST MOTEL OWNER, 2 OTHERS, RECOVER GUN AND DRUGS

Crackdown on crime hits Idemili North.

The Anambra Police have arrested three men—including a 39-year-old motel owner—over illegal firearm possession and suspected drug activities in Uke, Idemili North LGA.

Police Spokesman SP Tochukwu Ikenga said the suspects, aged 18, 26, and 39, were caught after Rapid Response Squad operatives raided the motel on Feb. 9. A pump-action gun loaded with three live cartridges and drugs including Cannabis, Crystal Meth, Colos, and Mkpuru-mmiri were recovered.

The motel owner reportedly confessed, helping police trace the other suspects. Ikenga reiterated that the command remains committed to rooting out crime and urged the public to provide tips for ongoing operations.
