SENTE 2026 CHARTS PATH FOR CHILDREN WITH SPECIAL NEEDS

Preparing kids for life beyond school, independence, and meaningful work.

Dr Mudi Nwachukwu, founder of Special Educational Needs & Therapy Empowerment (SENTE), says Nigerian families often wonder: “What happens after school?” The upcoming SENTE Conference and Trade Fair on Feb. 12 in Lagos aims to answer that, focusing on transition planning, employability, and lifelong support for children with special needs.

The event will feature expert panels, workshops, and exhibitions showcasing assistive technologies and services. It’s designed as a practical platform for families to engage experts, policymakers, and service providers, ensuring kids grow into independent, productive adults.

Nwachukwu stressed the importance of public-private partnerships and community-based solutions to close gaps in care and empowerment. Last year’s edition highlighted inclusive education and healthcare; this year, the focus shifts to adulthood, future readiness, and economic empowerment.
