OBI CUBANA JOINS POLITICS, PUSHES CLEAN, YOUTH-LED CHANGE

Business mogul calls for positive, issue-driven politics and disciplined youth engagement

Popular entrepreneur Obi Cubana has officially stepped into politics, urging Nigerian youths to lead a new era of clean, issue-focused political engagement built on discipline and positivity.

Speaking at the unveiling of the City Boy Movement (CBM) guideline and flag in Abuja, Cubana said young people must prepare to take over leadership roles, describing them as the backbone of any nation. He praised President Bola Tinubu’s interest in youth development and stressed that power would eventually shift to the younger generation.

Cubana also warned supporters against abusive political exchanges, insisting that education and enlightenment—not insults—should drive political debates. “When they abuse you, you teach them,” he said, urging consistency, focus and resilience in politics.

Lawmaker Olamijuwonlo Alao-Akala praised Cubana as a patriot committed to national development, while CBM Director-General Oluwatosin Shoga said the movement is grooming young professionals for key political roles ahead of the 2027 elections.

Shoga called on youths to organise, participate actively and help reshape Nigeria’s political future.
