Officers questioned after alleged robbery sparks outrage
The Lagos Police Command has identified and summoned officers accused of assaulting popular content creator Ijoba Lande, sparking social media uproar.
Spokesperson SP Abimbola Adebisi confirmed on Twitter that the officers, Lande, and his friend are giving statements as part of an ongoing investigation.
Lande, who returned from the UK six days earlier, alleged the officers forcefully took his iPhone 16 Pro Max and $1,200 (N1.7m) belonging to his brother, with videos of his injuries going viral online.
Police assured the public that updates would follow as the probe continues.
