Quick action prevents fire and chaos at NEPA Roundabout.
The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) on Sunday averted a major incident after a lone fuel tanker crashed at NEPA Roundabout, Ahmadu Bello Way, Kaduna. The RS1.1 Kaduna Sector Command responded promptly after receiving a distress call at 7:15 a.m., deploying personnel led by Deputy Route Commander I. Gunda.
FRSC secured the area, closed roads, and implemented traffic diversions, while the Federal Fire Service and Nigerian Police assisted to prevent fire hazards and secondary accidents.
No casualties were reported, and operations continue to safely evacuate the fuel and remove the tanker. Motorists are urged to remain calm and follow traffic directives.
FRSC praised road users for their cooperation, reiterating its commitment to emergency response, traffic management, and public safety.
