ABDULRAZAQ LAUNCHES COMMITTEE TO REBUILD TRUST, SUPPORT WORO SURVIVORS

Governor moves to ensure aid reaches victims and restore community confidence after Woro attack.

Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has set up a seven-member committee to engage leaders and residents of Woro community following the recent attack. The move aims to deliver humanitarian support, identify urgent needs, and assist in rebuilding efforts.

The committee, chaired by former Kaiama lawmaker Hon. Ahmed Kiwozi, includes local leaders, SEMA and KWASSIP representatives, and a female SSG office representative. It will serve as a direct link between the government and the community, with a four-week timeline to submit recommendations.

Governor’s spokesman Rafiu Ajakaye said the initiative reflects the administration’s commitment to transparent, structured, and humane support for affected families.
