Over 50 injured in Woro bandit attack receive treatment as leaders call for tighter security.
No fewer than 50 residents of Woro community, Kwara North, are receiving medical care in Ilorin after a violent bandit attack left many with gunshot and other injuries.
Senator Sadiq Umar visited the survivors on Wednesday, offering sympathy and pledging ongoing support. “What happened in Woro is truly heartbreaking… you are not alone during this difficult time,” he said, praying for their quick recovery.
Umar praised President Tinubu for deploying security operatives under Operation Savannah Shield and commended Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for prompt relief efforts.
Highlighting the recurring security threats in Kwara North, the senator called for sustained and stronger security operations to protect lives and property. He urged residents to remain united, hopeful, and prayerful, stressing that lasting peace is achievable through collective efforts.
