POLICE RESCUE TWO KIDNAP VICTIMS, ARREST SUSPECT IN NASARAWA

Swift police action saves lives and sends a strong warning to kidnappers.

The Nasarawa State Police have rescued two kidnap victims and detained a suspect in separate operations, boosting the fight against violent crime in the state.

SP Ramhan Nansel, the Command’s PPRO, said one victim, David O., was abducted from a commercial motorcycle ride in Lafia but was rescued from a bush hideout before the kidnappers could harm him.

In a separate case, Jamilu Salisu, from Katsina State, was arrested for abducting a 14-year-old student near a mosque in Gitata. Police recovered the boy, though one accomplice is still at large.

The Commissioner of Police, Shetima Mohammed, has launched a manhunt for fleeing suspects and directed thorough investigations into both cases.

The command praised citizens who provided crucial tips and urged continued cooperation to ensure public safety.
